Workshop details

This class is perfect for individuals, date night as well as a team building activity, school holiday events, birthday or hen’s party.

What your class includes:

  • Paint your own personalised pot developing your own artistic flare.

  • Pot your own premium planter with a wide variety of indoor plants including succulents and cacti.

  • Learn tips and techniques to express your creativity in your personalised planted pot.

  • Be guided by an experienced guide on how to care for your plants time and time again.

Suitable for:

A great experience for all ages and levels.

Beginners welcome. No painting or gardening experience required.

What equipment is supplied:

 All materials are provided to create your own unique painted pot design including inspiration, artistic techniques and professional guidance for all levels and ages!

This includes:

  • A wide selection of plants including succulents and cacti to build your own personalised pot

  • Premium pot canvas to craft your personalised design

  • Full kit of tools provided to express yourself on the day including paint bar and brush kits.

What you will take home:

  •  1 - 2 medium sized pots – personalised and painted filled with seasonal selection of plants by you

  • A complimentary carry bag for easy travel

  • Expert care tips & instructions for plant care

  • New techniques and methods for artistic expression.

Each unique workshop is seasonal and curated by our professional stylist and instructor. This would also be a lovely experience to gift for her, gift for mum, anniversary gift or birthday gift. 

Each event is set up in Bustle Studio’s stunning studio located in trendy Surry Hills. Ask us if you would like bespoke styling for your custom event, catering can also be provided, just ask for a quote.

About your teacher, Yen

Meet Yen, she is the founder of Rerefine Events creating bespoke sustainable events and styling.

Her heart lies in curating one-of-a-kind experiences building on her love of design, nature and zest for teaching. Her well curated workshops explore ways to share her love with others in a creative, fun and nurturing environment.

On top of this, Yen is an architect blending aesthetics with practicality in the work that she does. Join her in some of our seasonal workshops to grow your skills and creativity in so many ways!

Angela Hoskins

Built my first site in 2000 and steadily learned what it takes to make websites work. Dabbled in WordPress back then, still do. Since building my first Squarespace site in 2016, I’ve been impressed with the relatively streamlined approach to website design and development that Squarespace offers compared to WordPress. SEO was a major challenge from the start — I’ve spent a lot of time keeping up with what’s required to get sites working, ranking well on a SERP. I have confidence with what Squarespace offers for SEO.

Having worked for more than 10 years in the web team of an inland, regional university in Australia and dealing with frustrations that come with working for a large corporate enterprise, the idea of setting up my own web design business became my goal.

Set up my business in late 2017. Opted for a sea change, too: I now live on Coochiemudlo Island 45 minutes from Brisbane. Love working from home. Love working for small business clients. Still get casual work with the university.

Challenges? The main one is pricing my work for small businesses. Doing quality work, doing the research to be up to date in the industry, takes time; it’s hard to factor in this time to my pricing while being competitive in the market and affordable for many small businesses.
